BOUNDARIES: Located southeast of Fountain 35 miles southeast of Colorado
Springs.
THIS SCHOOL YEAR: The district added a new 72-by-112-foot modular unit,
which will be used for the library and a few classrooms, said Clyde
Moore, the district's building maintenance and grounds director.
School officials said they are considering asking voters in November to
approve a levy that would be used to build a new school behind the
existing building. If that plan were approved, the existing building
would be used for kindergarten - 6th grade and the new building would be
used for grades 7-12.

APPROVED SCHOOL HOLIDAYS:
*Hanover students typically attend school Tuesday through Friday with
most Mondays off.
Nov. 21-23 - Thanksgiving break
Oct. 15 - Teacher inservice/workday, all students off.
Oct. 25 - Parent-teacher conferences, 4 to 7 p.m.
Dec. 21 - Teacher inservice/workday, 1/2-day for all students.
Dec. 25-Jan. 4, 2002 - Winter break
Feb. 2, 2002, Elementary teacher inservice, elementary students off.
March 21, 2000- Parent-teacher conferences, 4 to 7 p.m.
March 26-29, 2002 - Spring break
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: May 24, 2002 for elementary; May 30, 2002 for
secondary
APPROVED CLASS SIZE: The district's school board has set no formal
guidelines.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE SPEAKERS: Parents of non-native English speakers should
contact Sheri McGrew, principal, at 683-2247, for assistance.
CHOICE PROCESS: A choice process is not applicable since there is only
one school in the district. For out-of-district students, admission into
the district is on a space-available basis. Contact Sheri McGrew,

TRANSPORTATION POLICY: Busing is provided to students living within the
district. Contact Dave Million, Transportation Director, at 683-2247,
for information.
SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS: Special education services are provided by the
Board of Cooperative Educational Services. Call Will Namminga or Della
Lewis at 683-2247 for information.
BREAKFAST/LUNCH PROGRAM: Lunch prices are $1.25 for elementary students
and $1.50 for middle and high school students. Breakfast is not offered.
Families who meet certain income guidelines may qualify for free and
reduced-price lunches. Application forms are available at the school or
call Sheri McGrew, principal, at 683-2247.
DAY CARE: None available
REGISTRATION: Registration for all students will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Aug. 8, for grades K-6; Aug. 9 for grades 7-8; and Aug. 10 for grades
9-12, at each school. Contact Nancy Uldrikson, school secretary, at
