established subdivisions, Northglen, Highland Park, Palmer Park, Century
Heights and Audubon Gardens, built 20-40 years ago. Single-family homes

nightclubs. In the last
five years, Downtown Colorado Springs has seen a huge growth in
restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and Class A office space. Most
recently, a number of historic and older buildings have been
rehabilitated into both office and living space. A neo-traditional
neighborhood is under development in the southern part of downtown.
An older and diversified area, downtown boasts homes ranging from
small bungalows to Victorian mansions. Just north of the downtown
business district are some of the most beautiful, turn-of-the-century
mansions in the area. Prices range from $80,000 - $800,000.

area of downtown near the Penrose Hospital and is north of Colorado

Large homes were built before 1900 as the town grew from a mining
town to one with many wealthy residents. Most of these homes have been
